Abstract
George Wallace recalls his family background and his childhood in Atlanta, Georgia. He also discusses his college years at the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio. George Wallace recalls the important events from his undergraduate years at the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio. He also recounts his early career in advertising, and how he got into stand-up comedy. George Wallace traces his career from comedy clubs in Los Angeles to the 'Isaac Hayes and Friends' radio show in New York. He also discusses his comedic predecessors such as Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx. Wallace ends by evaluating black comedy and telling some of his favorite jokes. George Wallace relates some of the situations about which he makes jokes. He reflects on his purpose in life, and shares his hopes for the black community.
