Born in Paxtang, Marion blazed a path benefiting others. She is a wife, mother and a spirited community volunteer who has touched the lives of many in Central Pennsylvania. After completing graduate school at The University of Pittsburgh and conducting cancer research in Washington, D.C., she got married and lived in Germany for three years. Upon her return to Harrisburg, she found her calling in serving the community. Fundraising projects in which she has played major roles include the historic Harris-Cameron Mansion renovation, Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts and Drug & Alcohol Prevention. In 2007 she was the keynote speaker at the Harrisburg Area Community College graduation ceremony and received the coveted honorary doctorate for her life-long service to our community.
