Every time you look at the beautiful Harrisburg skyline, you can, in part, thank William Alexander. As the builder of Harrisburg's tallest building - 333 Market St. - as well as the Hilton, the new City Government Center, Strawberry Square and many other downtown structures, it is no wonder that he has such a feeling of pride when it comes to the city. After graduating from Central Dauphin High School, going to West Point and serving in the Army, Alexander returned to Harrisburg as a PA-certified engineer and joined his father at H.B. Alexander and Son, a company started by his grandfather in 1928.
