Interview Date: January 29, 2010

Interview Location: Neiman Group, Front Street, Harrisburg, PA

Born in Pittsburgh, Steven H. Neiman's parents always wanted their children to have worldly experiences in life, so they organized an annual week in New York City. After a year of living on an Israeli kibbutz, a job at the Department of Revenue brought Neiman to Harrisburg just after Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Through a series of jobs and connections, Neiman and a friend started an ad agency at State and Second streets, eventually moving Neiman Group into the Waterworks building. Neiman now serves on various boards, including the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts and the United Way, and was co-chair of The Harrisburg Regional Chamber's Capital Region Economic Development Corporation.
