Born on Wallace Street, which is now part of the State Capitol Complex, Krevsky recalls being the only Orthodox Jewish child at the Methodist Bible School when her mother needed day care - an experience that taught her about other faiths at an early age. Other memories she recalls are those of the old bus that would take kids to Reservoir Park and paying a penny to walk across "old shaky," the Market Street Bridge. As a student at William Penn High School, the cross-town rivalry with John Harris High School was unforgettable, as were the evening songfests with friends around her piano and sledding near Sixth and Cumberland streets. Later on in life, as an avid volunteer in Harrisburg, she had particular interest in the National Advisory Council on Senior Citizens.
